Retirement
Retirement is much a reality as much as its planning is a neglected activity. Retirement planning continues to be ignored by most individuals.There is a lot more to retirement than just resting on an armchair and playing with grandchildren. A prerequisite for a comfortable retired life is detailed planning. Goals need to be define and investments to be made to make the best of the golden days.
Retirement for some it could be turning to God, others would occupy themselves with a remunerative profession, while some would want to travel to make up for what has been missed during the earlier days. Whatever be the occupation, the expenses would continue ... the grocery bills, the house rents, the power charges, gifts for the younger ones, so on and so forth. So while expenses would continue, the primary source of income would the missing.
The retirement objectives are met with proper investments. A portion of investments in riskier instruments like the stock markets which gives higher returns, while a portion is safer havens like bank fixed deposits and gold which, inspite of its lower returns, protects the capital.

If you have inherited a 20 million dollar mansion from your rich uncle and plan to sell it, you need not worry to accumulate ten million when you retire. But, if you need to plan your retirement, which you must, then take a look how much you need to save every month, to become a multi-millionaire when you retire. Retirement Checklist
(1) Have you performed a comprehensive retirement needs calculation?
(2) Are you contributing enough to potentially reach your financial goal within your desired time frame?
(3) Is your asset allocation aligned with your retirement goal, risk tolerance, and time horizon?
(4) Is your asset allocation properly spread out? A part to provide you with guaranteed returns, albeit moderate, and a part to provide a little higher returns. Please be very very careful investing in schemes where returns are abnormally high and much beyond market standards.
(5) Do you review your retirement portfolio each year and rebalance your asset allocation if necessary?
(6) Have you considered your health insurance options, (i.e., Medicare and various Medigap supplemental plans or employer-sponsored health insurance), out-of-pocket medical expenses, and other related health care costs? Maybe you would need to take up a second health insurance now, as after retirement your present employer will no longer cover you, and a new health insurer would not want to take up a new (high) risk.
(7) Have you reviewed all your financial and legal documents to make sure beneficiaries are up-to-date?

Dear Sir,
Request to have preference Q/ line for Sr. Citizens in your customer center / Civic facilitation center ( CFC)
For Last 6 years I have been running above Senior Citizens organization known as Varishtha Nagrik Seva Sanstha .We have had picnics, parties, Cultural programmes, talks on issues related to old age ( like importance of making a will) , on health, spiritualism, etc.. We had several speakers from Brhamakumari, Osho, Ramakrishna Mission, Chinmayanand Mission, Art of Living, wockheardt Hospital, Civic bodies etc.
We also have been taking up issues of Sr. Citizens at various level.
Sir, Thanks for having computerised CFC at ward offices. However there is no separate queue for sr. citizens and they too have to stand in long Q. Central govt has been nice and from post office to railways there r special counters / queues for Sr Citizens.
We request u to kindly be nice enough and order to have separate Q for Sr citizens .
Similarly the Birth certificates should also be available at CFC / Ground floors and not on 3 rd floor as is presently happening in H ward east.
Hope I will get response.

She kept you in best of the incubator in universe that is her womb for 9 months and
Fed you with best of the food to see you very hail and healthy when you first
Entered In the world.
She bathed you and cleaned up the mess with utmost care without hurting you very
tenderly.
She gave you the best of the milk in the universe by feeding you from her breast.
She was awake till you sleep in her melodious lullaby.
She taught you to sit, jump, walk and run safely.
She made all your meals with love.
She taught you the first word to speak and enriched with language.
She dressed you for school carried your bag and waited restlessly until you return.
She cherished every moment of your success throughout from school to college and
supported you in your weak moments.
She cried when you had fever.
She jumped in the air when you graduated. Distributed sweets.
She always had only one wish in front of GOD is welfare of her child.
She thrilled when you had first JOB.
She was jubilant when you got married. She did welcome and love your spouse.
She was in tears this time in sorrow, when you left her to live separately.
She was all in hilarious joy when she became Grand Mother.
She was hurt when you did not consult her for the name of her grand child. But
smiled.
WHERE IS SHE , IS SHE ALIVE, SHE DIED QUIETLY.
WHAT HAPPENED TO HER UNCONDITIONAL LOVE SHE SHOWERED AT YOU ALL ALONG THE LIFE.
